We occupy a beautifully refurbished and spacious building on the grounds of The Presidio of San Francisco, just inside the 14th Avenue Gate at Lake Street. Our facility has an adjacent outdoor play area.

Directions To Lone Mountain Children's Center:

The link above gives directions to Lake Street and 14th Avenue. Once you reach 14th Avenue and Lake Street drive North on 14th Avenue into the Presidio. Take a Right at the first Stop sign onto Wedemeyer Street, then the next Left at Brown Street, and then the next Left at Hays Street, (adjacent to a large oval shaped field). Lone Mountain is to the Left of the field, the building has all glass on the lower level.

Pre-Kindergarten Class

Daily from 12:45 to 3:30
Age in September: 4 yrs 6 mos to 5 yrs 3 mos

This transitional program has elements typical both to a preschool as well as to a traditional Kindergarten. The schedule and program build from the previous two levels, including art, science and drama, with a more in-depth emphasis on units of study such as community, emotions, health and safety, human anatomy, American history and the traditions and holidays of other cultures. There is an extensive music and creative movement curriculum, which includes singing, dancing and performing.
